The challenge for Cars24 is to design an online used car buying experience that accurately replicates the trust and confidence of real-life experience. However, the fragmented information provided through pictures, videos, sound, and text falls short of recreating the real-life experience. Users have to map together all the data mentally & derive meaning, which is exhausting, this gap between the digital and physical worlds results in low trust levels and a drop-off in user base, particularly for faraway buyers who are hesitant to invest their money without a test drive.
